How did your child react to teething?

My daughter is nearly 6 months old. I haven't noticed anything breaking through her gums yet, but she is gnawing on everything and drooling everywhere. The last few days she has been unusually cranky and will randomly start screaming/crying. She doesn't have a fever or any other possible indicators that she might be sick...so I keep thinking it must be teeth. Did any of your babies do this?
