Real estate question?

Im taking the test to get my license and assuming all goes well I know I have a year to get a job with a broker. Im still in college and it is my number 1 priority to graduate. Would I be able to find a broker who will just list me under them for the couple years even if i dont actively work for them? or will I have to put my real estate license on the voluntary inactive list?
