Can you name this movie?

I don't remember what this movie is called. It is a movie about three people and a baby who are trapped in a speeding car on the highway. The beginning of the movie starts off with the woman's mechanic taking her car out for a joy ride. She gets the car back later after picking up her baby niece. She meets this one guy and offers to give him a ride. Then she almost hits this teenager and offers to give him a ride as well. i remember that during the movie a helicopter carried her niece to safety and at the end of the movie she had to crash the car in order for it to stop; everyone survives. if im right, its a true story. can you help?
