Is it okay to hand train a parakeet the 2nd day you have it?

If she's very friendly towards you and totally okay with you handling her and she's settled into your home, yes you can. But if she's a little bit stressed I would suggest waiting a few days :) Hope this helps, have fun with your new family member!
