What birds survive in the summer?

Well I remember before when I had cockateils there was this one summer where It got really hot so we put the cage under shade (this huge tree we have) and we sprayed water on them once in awhile so they can cool down since the house was hotter anyways one died so we had to give the other one away so I'm wondering is there any pet birds that can survive anyways thank u
